I am a creative marketing professional, improv comedian, former collegiate rowing champion, and an empathetic people connector with a knack for technology, community building, and words.
As California native with a love for outdoor sports, I spent most of my childhood applying sunscreen. A decade of year-round softball led to an interest in racing boats (naturally), and I traded my bat for an oar when I rowed NCAA Division 1 crew for UC Irvine. It is still a favorite personal fun facts that I beat the US Navy in a boat race as the crew captain my senior year. On land I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health and was a proud Gamma Phi Beta sorority sister.
After college I drove east for the grittier pastures of Philadelphia where I acquired a taste for Amish scrapple, grew respect for die hard sports fans, and learned that, while charming, cobblestone streets are deathtraps for bikes. Also, the best cheesesteak in town is never where you think it is (and you’ll be hard-pressed to find a local who will tell you where to find it).
Philly is where I began my comedy career and fell in love with the supportive, challenging, and playful nature of improv and the golden rule of the “Yes, and…”.
I am back in California, this time in LA. I have earned my master’s degree from USC in marketing communications and am excited to test out my comedy chops with the best!
How about a list of favorites? In no particular order: The Olympics, mole chicken enchilada platters, vintage lamps, debating zombie science, a well-designed lighting scheme, Chuck Palahniuk novels, dogs, my green velvet sofa, and art with a touch of the macabre.
